Where can you have a picnic in the cool near Beaucaire? Lake Vallabrègues, an ideal wooded place to spend a day with the family, a shaded natural area between Beaucaire and Avignon.
The ideal spot for picnicking!
Summer in Provence, it is (very) hot, and we are all looking for a peaceful and cool place to relax and enjoy nature. Lake Vallabrègues is the ideal place to take a break and spend some time at the water's edge.
A preserved natural environment
By the lake, you'll find fishermen teasing fish, manicured lawns, and wooden picnic tables. A pretty path shaded by red bay trees runs along the entire lake for a short after-meal stroll, unless you prefer to nap at the water's edge while the children have fun in the park equipped with wooden games (mini zip lines, slides accessible free of charge).
A haven of peace
Swimming in the lake is not allowed, however you can observe a very rich fauna (frogs, fish, tadpoles, dragonflies) which testifies to an exceptional natural environment.
Vallabrègues is a green village that respects the environment, and its lake is a particularly well-preserved green area.
Getting to Lake Vallabrègues
The lake is located at the entrance of the village when arriving from Avignon; on your right, just after the campervan area.
Arriving from Beaucaire, it is therefore at the exit of the village, there is a car park next to Camping Lou Vicen where you can park.
Lake Vallabrègues is located just next to the banks of the Rhône and the river stop, another opportunity for a stroll after a nap !
