This beautiful chapel of Romanesque style, built at the end of the 11th century, has undergone numerous redesigns and restorations.

Located at the edge of the road linking Beaucaire to Nîmes, it is one of the most intriguing Romanesque sanctuaries in the lower Rhone valley.

The chapel is the ultimate remnant of the hamlet of Saint-Laurent, now disappeared.

The design of this chapel is very simple, with a single nave complemented by a semicircular apse. A fire destroyed two of the three original spans in 1636.

Inside, we notice  two Milestones dating back to the Roman Emperor Claude support the Choir’s chancel arch..
